MOVING the decision about when an object or a situation or a site is art
to the person participating in the work of art.
The value of that decision. MOVING the value of art from the object
to the person participating and back again.
From April to August 2006 the summer tour VARAiVÄRLDEN
(BEinTHEWORLD/inDERWELTsein) takes place, where 36 inhabitants from Vara participate
in an ongoing swap of objects, memories and histories. Starting date is 27 April 2006 at
Vara Main Square. Places to visit decided up to now are: Nordstan Mall in
Gothenburg Sweden 4 May, Meinblau Gallery Berlin Germany 24 June-9 July.
Other places will follow before reappearing in Vara Sweden 25-26 August at
Vara Concert Hall.

Movement is needed, and unavoidable. Motion is one of our first artistic
expressions. The social context and the social space in which this movement
appears, becomes part of the image the movement creates. How do we
experience motion in our everyday lives? How can we, by noticing the movement
at hand, understand ourselves a little bit clearer? To see ones neighbour in a new
light? To find satisfaction and curiosity in the known, the unknown and even the
well-known? To see the parallel time, and different space, shown to us by art in
our daily routines. Emanating from these thoughts and others concerning the role
of art in societ came:
